1) If you are interested in collection or selling historical blades study. After studying experiment by buying and selling. True knowledge beyond that found in books will come to you after you have bought and sold a couple of swords. Do not collect hundreds of swords instead find the best possible examples in the area you are collecting within?
2) If you wish to learn actual swordsmanship you will need to study under someone who has many years of training experience. Preferably some one at least in there 30’s (no offence to the younger guys out there but a good teacher is not a 1st Dan but someone who after gaining there knowledge has spent years applying it expanding upon it and passing it on to others)
